Thai Mookata steamboat BBQ and Chicken Pot - Dinner

This is an invited food tasting at the newly open 2The Pot. 2The Pot is located at a 2 storey shop house along Joo Chiat Road next to a public carpark.

There is about 20 tables in total, the air ventilation is adequate (for me). I guess it would have to depend where you sit :p

 This is a set meal for a party of 4, very generous serving. Too much food for 4 actually.

 There is a choice of Tomyum or chicken soup. We pick chicken soup, as we wanted to taste the freshness of the meat. 

Customers have a choice of just ordering individual raw dishes (side dishes) rather than the sets if they would like to "customise" their meal.  

1 hour later with a very full tummy :) we are still trying to finish the food! 

At this point the soup is so thick and full of flavour from BBQ meat (so sinfully good lol)

Personally I like the Honey glaze pork belly and spicy chicken thigh, very well marinated.

Special mention on the sweet and tangy chilli, very tasty ^^. 

Understand from the owners there is a special spicy chilli available for those who like very spicy taste.

We tasted of their signature chicken pots also.

Laska chicken pot

Very flavourful Laska soup, for those that love spicy and thick soup this is the choice. 

A must try for fans of Laska. 

 Spicy Chicken pot

The chef took a lot of care in preparing the spicy chicken, so full of flavour. Just the gravy and a bowl of rice is all I need! 

The idea of the chicken pot here is to order 1 pot for sharing and order raw sides to cook in the pot (some what like steamboat). A much healthier choice as compare to Thai Mookata as we had mostly vegetables side to complement the chicken meat. 

The chicken pot is the best choice for group of friends or family gathering, as everyone can sit around the pot to cook/eat and catch up.

Verdict: Overall it's worth to give it a try if you are looking for a late night supper place and is in the area!  (Did i mention free parking after 10pm? lol).
Best of all there is No service charge and No GST!!
